Greetings all, my name is Melody and I think I met some of you at Senshi Con last year over at UAA. I was trying out the whole radio journalist thing (didn’t work out). Uhm, ya…

I have a Bikerscout and the Canadian cereal Clone Trooper helmet. I have trooped in Japan but was never able to join the 501st due to geographical issues and military stuff at the time. Since I’ve retired from the service though and keep kicking the old armour around every time I go to reorganize the closet I think it’s about time I put it to use again.

So here I am, seeing if I might be able to join the outpost?

With that said, a little bit about me…

I was born and raised here in Alaska, back before I went in the service all of us Star Wars fans were rather spread out and we never did get anything together. That was about around 2002. Amazing how the internet and shipping has changed since then.

I picked up the Clone Trooper helmet back then but while I was in the service and actually making something of an income I put together a Bikerscout costume.

I like Bikerscouts and all the Fetts. My old car used to have the license plate Fett, even had a dent in the side of the door but like Fett it would eventually be hit by a blind man (the other driver wasn’t paying attention) and would fall into the Sarlac pit (also known as the junk yard). Still have the plates but I won’t be using them on another car after that.

So, that’s me!

Good to have you here! Our Datadroid aka Joyce is the GML who handles the members. You can send her a message about joining the legion. You probably need to go to the website first at http://www.501stlegion.org/members/join_how.php and fill out the application. The next step would be pictures of you with and without helmet. I am sure Joyce will walk you through the process

glad to see you got your scout put together. Hopefully I'll fair better on my progress this year.

Ya it's to bad I never got those interview on radio. Always had a hard time getting to the editing room. Seems I'm more of a Northern Lighter (newspaper) person, obviously I have gone to the dark side.

No really, that actually makes more sense now seeing as the Student Union has a KRUA radio broadcasting booth on the top floor and the newspaper editing room on the bottom. Makes for something of a dark side light side comparison.

Actually I was going by the Outpost's website's contact page. Then after I sent the e-mail to spoox it occurred to me that your contact e-mail might be on the 501st page.

And so it was!

Please excuse my narrow scope, I think it comes from wearing the scout helmet for to long. Sort of gives a brother tunnel vision.
